Ingredients

  • 1 onion
  • 2 garlic
  • 14.5 ounces tomatoes
  • 0.5 cup red wine
  • 2 tablespoons capers
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 0.25 cup basil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. 1Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  2. 2Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and cook until browned on both sides.
  3. 3Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  4. 4In the same skillet, add chopped onion and bell peppers, cooking until softened.
  5. 5Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for an additional minute, until fragrant.

  8. 8Return the chicken to the skillet, cover, and simmer on low heat for 45 minutes, until the chicken is tender.
