Ingredients
- 500 grams beef
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 large red onion
- 2 medium tomatoes
- 4 pieces wheat pita bread
- 100 grams yogurt
- 1 small cucumber
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon coriander
Instructions
- 1Marinate the meat with garlic, paprika, cumin, coriander, and olive oil for at least 2 hours.
- 2Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- 3Thinly slice the marinated meat and layer on a baking tray.
- 4Roast in the oven for approximately 60 minutes, turning occasionally, until cooked through and slightly crispy.
- 5While the meat is roasting, prepare the salad by dicing the tomatoes and cucumber, and thinly slicing the red onion.
- 6Mix the low-fat Greek yogurt with lemon juice for the sauce.
- 7Warm the whole wheat pita bread in the oven for 2-3 minutes.
- 8Assemble the doner kebab by placing the roasted meat onto the pita bread, adding the salad, and topping with the yogurt sauce.
