- 4 fillets haddock fillets
- 2 large rutabaga
- 4 cups canola oil
- 1 cup rice flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup Gluten-Free Beer
- 1 tsp salt
- 0.5 tsp white pepper
- 1 tbsp old bay seasoning
- 0.5 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp dill pickles
- 1 tbsp fresh chives
- 1 tbsp lemon juice

- 0.5 tsp garlic powder
Instructions
- 1Prepare rutabaga chips: Toss rutabaga fries with a pinch of salt and pepper. Fry in hot canola oil (350°F/175°C) until golden brown and tender-crisp, then drain and season.
- 2Make fish batter: Whisk together rice flour, baking powder, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp white pepper, Old Bay Seasoning, and gluten-free beer until smooth.
- 3Fry fish: Dip haddock fillets one by one into the batter, ensuring full coverage. Carefully place into the hot oil and fry for 4-6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Drain on a wire rack.
- 4Prepare tartar sauce: In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, chopped dill pickles, fresh chives, lemon juice, and garlic powder. Season with salt and white pepper to taste.
